Bhubaneswar: A review meeting on the implementation of Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) projects undertaken with NABARD assistance was held at Lok Seva Bhawan under the chairmanship of Sanjay Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary, Works Department. Out of the 192 RIDF projects sanctioned in the State, 124 have been completed, while 68 projects—44 bridges and 24 roads—are under implementation. The meeting reviewed their progress and examined key bottlenecks, including utility shifting, forest clearance and land acquisition.
The Principal Secretary directed the concerned officials to ensure close coordination with line departments and District Administrations for prompt resolution of these issues and early completion of the remaining projects. He reiterated the emphasis of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Hon’ble Minister, Works Department, Prithiviraj Harichandan, on speedy implementation of infrastructure projects. He further stressed that quality must be maintained while adhering to stipulated timelines and directed regular monitoring to ensure timely completion.
