Bhubaneswar: The Civil Supplies Enforcement Squad conducted a verification at an eviction site at Sampur, Ward No. 23 under Bharatpur Police Station. During inspection, a total of 51 numbers of 14.2 kg LPG cylinders along with 6 numbers of 2 kg cylinders and 5 numbers of 5 kg cylinders were found at the site. No claimant was present at the spot. All the cylinders were found empty.
The circumstances give rise to a reasonable belief that the cylinders were being used for illegal LPG business in contravention of Government guidelines. The seizure was carried out in the presence of Commissionerate Police personnel and BDA officials. Necessary legal action has been initiated.
