Cuttack: Acting on a tip-off, a joint forest raid was conducted today, i.e., on 07.05.2026 by Forest Wing of Odisha Vigilance on running of an illegal Furniture Unit at village Sofa under Tangi PS, Dist- Cuttack without valid license. During raid, illegal stock of 19.08 cft inside Furniture Unit and illegal hoarding of 115.814 valuable timber near village Sofa detected and seized. The seized value of total timber of 134.894 cft comes to Rs.4,81,669/-. Further investigation is ongoing.
