Bhubaneswar: The farmer registration process has been accelerated in the state for the Kharif season paddy procurement. So far, more than 5.5 lakh farmers of the state have registered for this season. This process will continue till 31.08.2026. For this, registration is in full swing at PACS, LAMPS and Pani Panchayats. It is observed that nearly one lakh farmers register on daily basis.
Currently, this registration process is going on in all the districts. About 60 thousand farmers have registered in Bargarh district, while 43 thousand in Balasore district, 40 thousand in Kalahandi and about 24 thousand in Puri district. The registration is being done at 2907 PACS and 4 Pani panchayats of the state.
All necessary arrangements have been made for the farmers at PACS. As per the registration process, farmer registration will be done on a real time basis and farmers can verify all the information before final submission of the online application. Dedicated Help Desks have been set up at societies to render all possible assistance during registration.
The ongoing registration process is being carried out in coordination with various departments including Food Supply and Consumer Welfare, Cooperation, Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment and Revenue and Disaster Management Department.
