New Delhi / Bhubaneswar : On the concluding day of the 44th India International Trade Fair 2025, held at the Bharat Mandapam complex, New Delhi, the Odisha Pavilion was honoured with the Best Pavilion Award.In a colourful ceremony held this afternoon near the Musical Fountain adjacent to Exhibition Hall No. 1, Sucharita Shadangi, Assistant Resident Commissioner of Odisha in New Delhi, and Ashwini Kumar Bhoi, Director of the Odisha Pavilion, received the award from Dr.NeerajKharwal, Managing Director of the ITPO.
Chief Minister Mohan CharanMajhi expressed his delight over this achievement and conveyed his congratulations and gratitude to Team Odisha. In his congratulatory message, the Chief Minister remarked that this recognition is a remarkable achievement in elevating the prestige of the state at both the national and international levels. Odisha has added yet another feather to its star-studded cap. Our display at the India International Trade Fair 2025 held at Bharat Mandapam won gold and stands as a solid exemplification of the creative brains of Odisha. This gold medal is for the state and special kudos to the artisans and SHGs who took the Odia soul to Delhi and shone through.
Additional Chief Secretary Hemant Sharma, conveyed heartfelt congratulations to all officers and staff for their teamwork and dedication, and advised that this collective spirit should continue in the future.
The Odisha Pavilion for IITF 2025 was designed in alignment with this year’s theme,’Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.The pavilion design beautifully reflected the rich heritage and ancient sculptural excellence of Odisha. It also showcased the state’s commitment to the Vision Document 36 for 36, which outlines Odisha’s contributions to transforming India into ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’, ‘Viksit Bharat’, and ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ by 2047. Through its visually impressive presentation, the pavilion demonstrated Odisha’s efforts in implementing various people-centric government schemes at every level, while simultaneously highlighting the state’s reverence for its art, culture, traditions, and heritagebalanced with progress, modernization, and holistic development of all sections of society.
A total of 26 stalls were featured in the Odisha Pavilion, showcasing products from nine government departments and associated organisations. These included Boyanika & Resham Odisha under the banner of Handloom and Textiles Directorate; Koraput Organic Shri Farmer Producer Company Ltd., Jashipu Farmer Producer Company Ltd. (Mayurbhanj) through Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment; Prerana SHG (Rayagada), Jai Jagannath SHG (Dhenkanal), Nilagiri Lac Producers’ Cooperative (Balasore), Krishna Chenapoda (Nayagarh), Gopalpur Tasar Handloom Enterprise (Jajpur)& Utkal Coir (Puri) through ORMAS; Maa Bhuasuni SHG (Raghurajpur, Puri), Shiva Parvati Golden Grass (Kendrapara), DhanalakshmiSHG (Nabarangpur), Sri Jagannath SHG (Anandpur, Keonjhar) through Mission Shakti; Koraput Coffee & Adisa through TDCCOL; Paddy craft of Bhottada community, Dokra metal crafts of Mayurbhanj’sSantal tribe, Gond tribal art (Keonjhar) and Saura paintings (Rayagada) from Odisha State Tribal Museum (under SCSTRTI); Gaumaya Paints (Bargarh), Craft Indica (Bhubaneswar), Elate Crunchies (Brahmapur), Odisha State Talagur Samabaya Sangha Ltd. from MSME Department and Utkalika through Directorate of Handicrafts. Apart from this, OMFED and Tourism Department stalls were also part of the pavilion.
Additionally, the pavilion showcased demonstrations of handicrafts made from sabai grass & coconut fibre, Kotpad handwoven textiles, Stone carving and traditional silver filigree work. At the food court in Pragati Maidan delicious Odia cuisine under the banner of Odisha Tourism Department were available to visitors.
During the trade fair, Gaumaya Paints (Bargarh) held successful business discussions with the Tripura Industries Department, Arihant Paints (Rohtak, Haryana), ALM Enterprises (New Delhi), and RKGD Enterprises (Delhi). Similarly, the Odisha State Talgur Samabaya Sangha Ltd. finalised trade talks with ShriHarmit Singh (New Delhi); Elate Crunchies, Brahmapur concluded deals with Airports Authority of India, Power Grid Corporation, Ashoka Hotel (New Delhi) and Nut Shake; the Jashipur Farmers’ Producer Organisation (Mayurbhanj) negotiated with Kerala State; Prerana SHG (Rayagada) discussed with Rudrashil Products (New Delhi); and the ORMAS and Mission Shakti stalls held successful commercial discussions with Gautam Jindal of Gift Bazaar. Apart from this, senior officials of different states and ministries, along with representatives of large and medium commercial enterprises, visited the Odisha Pavilion and discussedwith pavilion officials on product manufacturing, supply and distribution.
The beautifully designed Odisha Pavilion, inaugurated on November 14 by Deputy Chief Minister Smt. PrabhatiParida, was visited on various days by Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, Minister of Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare and Science & Technology iKrushna Chandra Patra, Tripura’s Minister of Industries & Commerce Smt. Santana Chakma, Additional Chief Secretary of Manipur Anurag Bajpai, Former cricketer and MP from Berhampur, West Bengal Yusuf Pathan, MP from AskaSmt. Anita Subhadarshini, MP from Balasore Pratap Sarangi, Rajya Sabha MP Sujit Kumar, Former Rajya Sabha MP Shri Amar Patnaik along with dignitaries from leading international business organizations. On November 22, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi attended the Odisha State Day celebrations as the Chief Guest.
On the occasion of Odisha State Day, held on the 22nd at Bharat Mandapam Amphitheatre, along with the auspicious release of separate issues of Utkal Prasang and Odisha Review magazines, artists from Nupur, Bhubaneswar performed Odissi dance, Pashumukha dance from Digpahandi (Ganjam) presented by the Bichitra Barnali Natya Sansad, Sambalpuri dance by artists from Rumkujhumana, Subarnapur, Singhna dance by the Nutan Kala Sansad of Kandhamal district, and Ghumura dance by the Brundabananskrutika Anusthan of Kalahandi.
Over the past 14 days, more than 2.5 lakh visitors came to the Odisha Pavilion, resulting in business transactions of over ₹50 lakh. Stalls of the Tourism Department provided information, while Gaumaya Paints showcased its products; the remaining 24 stalls contributed to the above sales volume. Due to its attractive interior, every corner of the Odisha Pavilion became a selfie zone for visitors.
It is worth noting that the organisation of the Odisha Pavilion at IITF is the responsibility of the Information & Public Relations Department. Odisha received the Special Jury Award in 2022 for best presentation, followed by its first Gold Award in 2023 and the Silver Award in 2024.
With this award, the Odisha Pavilion has created history by winning for the fourth consecutive year. In the 44th India International Trade Fair 2025, Odisha secured the First Position with the Gold Award, while Madhya Pradesh and Puducherry were placed next respectively.
