
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government’s Industries, Skill Development and Technical Education Minister Sampad Chandra Swain visited the Jagatpur and Choudwar industrial areas to take stock of local industries and explore opportunities for further development and employment generation. During the visit, the Minister toured key industrial units including Sushant Minerals, Glaze Plastics, Swastik Industries, Hindustan Technology, Odisha Plast-O, Pragati Milk, and Pashupati Agrovet. He also visited the Common Facility Centre at Indrani Patna, developed with support from both the State and Central Governments. The Minister also inspected Welspun Ltd’s proposed handloom project and logistics park.
Later, chairing a review meeting, Shri Swain discussed local issues such as land allotment and usage. He assured industrialists that the State Government will extend full support to all genuine enterprises and emphasized that new industries will lead to more jobs for local youth.
Industry representatives submitted their concerns related to waste management. The Government is aware and committed to resolve these issues soon, he assured. IDCO officials, including Managing Director Prashant Kumar Reddy, CGM Subash Chandra Natha Sharma, CGM Aravinda Tripathy, and Land Officer Arundhati Pattnayak, were present during the visit.
