
Bhubaneswar: Five-day induction training for PGT teachers appointed in Non Govt. Aided Higher Secondary schools under the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE) has been organized at IMAGE, Shiripur. 125 PGT teachers have participated in this training. The inaugural session was attended by Subhasree Nanda, Additional Secretary, School & Mass Education Department, Raghuram R. Iyer, Director, DHSE, Sasmita Mali, Joint Director, DHSE, Snigdha Mishra, Joint Director, DHSE and Jitendra Nayak, Deputy Director, DHSE.
Attending the inaugural session, Additional Secretary Smt. Nanda said that there is a need for skill development of teachers to build a bright future. This training program has brought that opportunity. This training program will expand the scope of knowledge. She said that by giving importance to self-study, it will be possible to build a complete personality. Similarly, Director Shri Iyer informed the PGT teachers about the purpose of the training program and said that this training program will give more importance to the personal development of PGT teachers. He also informed that PGT teachers will be trained in four phases, while earlier training was given in two phases.
This five-day training program will focus on skill development of PGTs. Training will be provided on Odisha Career Portal Management, Professional Development of Teachers, Classroom Management and Teaching Skill Development, Group Activities, Vision Building for Aspirational Schools etc. In addition, after receiving feedback from the previous training programs, the current training program will provide training on use of i-GOT Karmayogi App, Vocational Education, Scholarship, Improving personal Nutrition and health for healthy class room, climate resilient schools etc.
