
Bhubaneswar: Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Empowerment and Energy Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo reviewed all the projects including both new and ongoing projects of GRIDCO at Lok Seva Bhavan. Odisha is moving towards achieving the green targets by strengthening the power infrastructure of the state. A total of 10,960 MW projects are being developed by GRIDCO. This includes 7500 MW solar projects, 2000 MW wind power projects, 1200 MW Pumped Storage Projects and other small hydroelectric projects.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Singh Deo has examined the reasons for delays and directed to expedite the work. To fast track the project he talked over the phone with the concerned officers. The review was done earlier, especially the reasons behind the delay in implementation of the projects such as land allocation, environmental clearances, and logistic support etc., the Deputy Chief Minister Shri Singh Deo himself presented before the Government of India and resolved during his recent visit to Delhi.
The above review meeting was attended by the Principal Secretary, Energy Department Vishal Kumar Dev, MD Gridco Dr. Satya Priya Rath, FA-cum- Special Secretary Debidutta Tripathi, Additional Secretary, IAS Nibedita Mishra, senior officers from GRIDCO, OREDA, Energy Department.
