Bhubaneswar : Debendra Pradhan, Co-Founder of Coratia Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a leading National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela, based Start-up Company had a courtesy meet with Manoj Ahuja, Chief Secretary, Odisha at Lokseva Bhawan. During the meet, discussion was focused on use of underwater robotics technology in enhancing the sustainability and efficiency of underwater infrastructure in the State.
Recently, Coratia Technologies Pvt. Ltd. has signed a contract with the Indian Navy for the deployment of indigenous underwater robotic equipment worth ₹66 crore. Appreciating this achievement, the Chief Secretary lauded the company and highlighted the promising potential of this initiative in advancing technology and skill development in Odisha. Coratia Technologies PVT. Ltd is an innovative underwater robotics company, offers end-to –end solutions using advanced technologies.
“Our services include civil structure inspection, underwater NDT, bathymetry, sediment analysis, structural health assessment, and more. Coratia’s expert team ensures reliable and efficient solutions for underwater maintenance, exploration, and rescue operations”, explained Shri Pradhan, during the meet with Chief Secretary.
Appreciating the use of this technology, the Chief Secretary remarked that Odisha has several large and medium water reservoirs, dams, and many old bridges and constructions across rivers. He advised the company’s co-founder to leverage this underwater robotic technology for inspection and safety enhancement of such structures, emphasizing that it would be highly beneficial for the State.” During the courtesy meet, Bhupedra Singh Poonia, Commissioner –cum-Secretary, Skill Development and Technical Education Department, Odisha was present.
