Kiev/ Washington:Overnight Sunday, Russia launched 367 drones and missiles across Ukraine, striking multiple cities, including Kiev, the country’s capital. At least 12 people were killed in the attack, and many others were injured. The Ukrainian Air Force claimed to have shot down 45 missiles and destroyed 266 drones, but several areas were still badly hit. After Russia launched its biggest airstrike on Ukraine since the beginning of the war, US President Donald Trump, who had previously shown patience with Russian President Vladimir Putin, lost his cool, warning, “If he wants all of Ukraine, it’ll lead to Russia’s downfall.” Speaking to reporters at the Morristown airport in New Jersey on Sunday, Trump criticised Putin, saying, “I’m not happy with Putin.”
“He’s killing a lot of people. And I don’t know what the hell happened to Putin! I’ve known him a long time. Always gotten along with him. But he’s sending rockets into cities and killing people. And I don’t like it at all,” he said. “We’re in the middle of talking and he’s shooting rockets into Kiev and other cities! I don’t like it at all. I don’t like what Putin is doing, not even a little bit. He’s killing people. And something happened to this guy, and I don’t like it,” he added. The Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said that over 30 cities and villages were affected by the strikes. Earlier, President Zelenskyy said he was disappointed with the international response, particularly the US. He cautioned that without more forceful action, Russia’s ongoing brutality could not be stopped. He added that the strikes will continue unless there is serious pressure on the Russian leadership. The military of Ukraine claims that the strikes, which started on Saturday night, have impacted almost every area of the nation.
