Bhubaneswar/Cuttack: The Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Republic of India, H.E. Ina Hagniningtyas Krisnamurthi and the Development Commissioner–cum–Additional Chief Secretary to Govt. of Odisha, AnuGarg, has inaugurated the refurbished Indonesian gallery today at the Odisha State Maritime Museum (OSMM), located on the right bank of river Mahanadi at Jobra, Cuttack on 14th August,2025.
The refurbished gallerythat houses precious artifacts highlighting centuries-old maritime and cultural connections between Odisha and Indonesia has further been enhanced with better lighting, improved signage and upgraded artifact preservation.
During the event, HE, the Ambassador expressed her pleasure on the warmth received inOdisha and emphasized that the renovated Indonesia Gallery has become a true tribute to the deep and rich history ofOdisha – Indonesia relationship.
The Development Commissioner –cum– Additional Chief Secretary to Govt. of Odisha expressed appreciation for the continued support and collaboration from the Indonesian Embassy time and again in cementing the cultural ties between Odisha and Indonesia. She envisioned for more development works to modernize and elevate the experience of visitors of the museum while exploring moresuch collaborative effortswith Indonesia and other ASEAN countries in the future.
